The name goes into the enquiry for you. Say where it goes and how big, and the drawing comes back before anything is booked.
What it means
The koi comes from the Chinese story of a carp that swims up the Yellow River, leaps the falls at the Dragon Gate, and becomes a dragon for having made it. It stands for perseverance through something meant to stop you.
In Japanese tattooing a koi swimming upstream is usually read as the struggle still going on, and one swimming down as having come through it. That is a convention among tattooers rather than an ancient rule, so settle it on paper with the artist.
