Geometric Tattoo Designs

Animals and shapes built from flat facets and straight lines, drawn with a ruler rather than a free hand. Nine drawings and four on skin.

Every tattoo image on this site is a generated illustration. None of it is work by this artist and none of it records a client result.

Worth knowing before you choose

Geometric work is the least forgiving style there is, and that is worth knowing before you choose it. A straight line that wanders by half a millimetre is visible; a curve that wanders by the same amount is not, which is why a wobbly line in a traditional rose disappears and a wobbly line in a cube does not. The same goes for symmetry: the eye finds a mandala that is out of true immediately, and cannot be un-seen afterwards. So this is a style to give time to rather than fit into a spare hour, and it is the one where a stencil placed carefully matters more than anywhere else. The upside is that it ages unusually well. There is no soft shading to blur and no colour to fade, and a design made of clean lines and open skin stays legible for decades, which is the opposite of the fine dense work people usually compare it to.

Or describe what you actually want

None of these has to be it. Say what is closest, what you would change, where it goes and roughly how big, and the drawing comes back before anything is booked.
