Worth knowing before you choose
The outer thigh and the calf are among the easier places to be tattooed, with muscle under the skin and room for a large design. The knee, the shin bone and the back of the knee hurt a lot more. A leg piece is easy to cover with trousers and easy to show in shorts, which is part of why it is popular here.
